Mobile Phones in Changing Rooms

As an affiliated club of Swim England, Elmbridge Phoenix is committed to adopting the Swim England Wavepower Safeguarding Policies. Wavepower's changing room policy strictly prohibits the use of mobile phones or any recording devices in changing areas during Swim England regulated activity.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of our sport, there has been a disproportionate level of inappropriate behaviour in changing rooms, often involving the misuse of mobile phones. Such actions can cause serious harm to victims, leaving them emotionally devastated and traumatised. This behaviour is illegal and will not be tolerated in any form within our club community. Protecting our members is of the highest importance to us. By implementing and enforcing this policy, Elmbridge Phoenix is taking proactive steps to reduce safeguarding incidents and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all.
